Taking your Modeling Career Seriously: What photos to send modelingagencies

Need to get the attention of an agent at your favorite agency? Well, start off by showing them YOUR goods. Emphasis on YOUR goods opposed to those of good lighting or photoshop wizard.

When you send your photos for an open casting or agency, you should send 4 crucial photos, unless otherwise requested.

These photos will show you at all angles and give the agency a true look into your potention:

1. FULL LENGTH: this photo should be of you with a blank, NOT EVIL, face from head to toe.

2. 1/2 LENGTH: this photo is from your waist up preferably not smiling.

3. 3/4 LENGTH: this photo should be from chest up OR from shoulder up with you smiling showing teeth.

4. PROFILE: show off your chiseled jawline by turning your head to the side and snapping this photo without a smile.

There are variations of these photos and exceptions based on who you are sending them to and whether or not you should showcase your strong jawline in every photo, or your million dollar smile in almost everyone.

No matter the photos taken all the photos should be taken in well lighted location. Try wearing your best pair of skinny jeans or leggings. Another good idea would be to do the full length in a swimsuit or appropriate undergarments. i.e. not your sexy lingerie! More importantly, try to wear little or no makeup in the photos, remember, the agency wants to see you, not what they will be doing to you in the long run.
