LATE RECAP! 47th Annual NAACP Image Awards

As I watched the 47th Annual NAACP Image Awards, I was in awe of the natural, uninhibited, effortless fashion efforts of all the beautiful attendees. Those in attendance who aren't necessarily of "African" ancestry or culture if you will, were even in the moment of "wear what makes you feel good"....and it worked! Win, Lose or Draw, everyone in attendance looked happily put together.


Dynamic Duos
Whether married, just hanging, related by blood or by TV blood these duos looked good while having a ton of fun.

Cut It Out!

Lady in red standing like a model, reality star Jennifer Williams got it all the way right
in the detailed gown. 

Concussion actress    looks radiant in this yellow cutout gown. 

Drumming to their own beat was Disney star Monique Coleman
was definitely feeling her ancestry in this inspired cutout all over the place piece. 

Empire actress/songstress Serayah was on fire in this well fitted black high split, cutout dress. 

Curvaliscous & Boobaliscous!
There were small ones, large ones, short ones, tall ones? Boy oh boy were the girls out with a vengeance and with all the curves from the night, one may have gotten a little disorientated.

Ms. Boobaliscous, curverliscous herself, Toccara Jones...what can I say?
I love the color. 

Coming in with a close second is Ms. Naturi Naughton. Slightly more tamed but still up
front and center, literally. Go girls!  

Part of the modest bosom committee, taraji swung in right on time swingeing her long and sleek Malaysian, instead of her recent short and sassy bob.

Ms. Sanaa Lathan stuns in this gorgeous mock neck gown that hugs all her curves,
complimented with a sleek deep part 22+ inch ponytail. 

Funny lady Tracy Ellis Ross looks structured and sexy with her girls out just enough. 

Natural Hair Everywhere

Wearing your natural mane loud and proud is a benefit of the NAACP Image awards. These ladies were on top of their MANES!

Erica Ash's  hair and jewelry is so fresh, classy and funky all together. 

Even before the baby, Chrissy Teigen has the effortless braid down, down her back that is. 

Yara Shahidi looks like a little radiant princess with her twisted updo highlighting her gorgeous features. 

Phenomenal actress Teyonah Parris  plays up her volume with this on trend natural hairstyle. 

Dapper Dudes

The ladies get all the glory for their flawless hair and makeup, along with their sexy and flattering choice of attire, but the fashion winners at the NAACP awards included some dapper dudes too!
